• Coffee Stains — wet the stain with a little warm water. Blot with a cloth, working from the outside of the stain inwards. Continue until the cloth comes away clean.
• Blood Stains — remove any excess blood with paper towels. Apply a little cold water — warm or hot water could set the stain. Blot with a damp cloth to absorb as much of the stain as possible. Spray liberally with a solution of washing-up liquid and cold water. Blot again. Repeat this process until all the blood is gone.
• Pet Stains — remove as much of the mess as possible, but don’t scrub! Spray with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid, then blot and dry with paper towels. Spray again, this time with a solution of white vinegar and water to help neutralise the odour. Cover the damaged area lightly with baking soda, leave for five to 10 minutes, then vacuum. Repeat if necessary.
